MULTAN: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Sunday criticised Nawaz Sharif over his “give respect to vote” slogan questioning that “why did Nawaz not come up with such a motto when he sided with Ziaul Haq?”
“Nawaz Sharif is vocal about respecting the vote nowadays. Where was his enthusiasm when he was taking dictations from Ziaul Haq and was conspiring against Benazir Bhutto?” Bilawal questioned while speaking to the media in Multan.
Continuing his jabs at Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Nawaz Sharif, Bilawal said that “PML-N functions via dictation”. He added that as long as Nawaz Sharif does not respect the institutions, he would not be respected in return.
“The democratic system in Pakistan is weak, but I hope the next civilian government will produce viable results,” Bilawal continued.
The PPP chief claimed that neither Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) nor PML-N have produced any considerable results and that the two parties have done nothing for the people of Pakistan.
On the contrary, he added, the PPP has engineered different schemes to erase poverty from Sindh during the past 10 years.
