Sukkur: A man threw acid on a girl on Sunday night in Islam Colony in an argument over rented property, according to reports.
The police said that the injured girl was taken to the local Civil Hospital.
The assault took place in Islam Colony’s New Pind neighborhood. The survivor’s father assumed that his tenant’s son threw acid on his daughter after he asked them to leave his property.
The 20 year old girl’s father alleged the tenants wanted to invade his property illegally, as they had not left the property even after being told to earlier.However, the acid-throwing suspect managed to run away and escape arrest.
According to the hospital where the survivor is admitted, the acid has burnt at least 40 percent of the girl’s body.
