LAHORE: Marham, a healthcare network, has launched its online medical consultation services for the people of Pakistan with an aim to make quality healthcare and doctors accessible for everyone irrespective of their area, time or location.
Asma Salman Omer, head and co-founder of Marham, said: “In today’s world, where the technological advancements and digitalisation has overcome the intimacy and emotions, humans have a role to play.” She said: “The service is an extension of the empathy, care and the impact we want to impart on lives of people while ensuring quality healthcare access for patients from everywhere.”
“The online consultation service guarantees access to the inaccessible. Patients can visit the website, submit their details and get connected to qualified and authentic doctors over audio or video calls. More importantly, this whole process ensures complete privacy. With many people living in the rural areas and away from hospitals, this service will enable them to acquire medical consultation without the hassle of travelling long hours,” she added.
Marham had also established an appointment booking helpline, which is actively booking appointments of patients with doctors, but with the newly launched service, those who were still unable to see a doctor and couldn’t show up physically could greatly benefit. This service fulfills a prodigious gap between patients and doctors making access to a doctor much easier than it was ever before.
